Review: Baggit Libra Jhuti Bag

When I entered the Baggit store it was with an intention to buy a crossbody bag which had ample storage and which was rugged in texture. My purpose was to use it as a baby bag – the regular baby/diaper bags do not come with a crossbody provision, which was absolutely essential for me, when handling my baby. Also, the regular baby bags made the purpose too obvious.

The Libra Jhuti fit the bill perfectly. It can be used both as a shoulder bag as well as crossbody. It has two flaps one on the front and the other on the back that open to reveal a medium-sized zipped pocket each.

There is a central zipper, which is internally divided into two sections by another zipped pocket. There is another medium sized inner zip on one side as well.

And you see the texture of the exterior – braided texture making it very sturdy for daily usage. The shoulder straps are broad and made of soft leather making it convenient to carry even for long lengths of time.

I own the above bag in pink color, though there are a few other colors as well to choose from (though not all of them might be available at the same time)…

By the way, does anyone know what ‘jhuti’ means in this context?

  • Vidya,

Big congratulations on a TON and still counting. great going..!!

‘Jhuti’ is the name given to this PU (polyurethane) material with with the bag is made. This PU is embossed with a sweater like knitted texture. so u see a knitted feel with the sturdiness of a PU.

I also think that the handle is not leather.. its the plain PU only.

    wish u all the best.

  • Thanks for the information Didi! And you are right – the handle is not leather. Baggit has a strict no-leather policy! 🙂
