8 New Bag Launches For Your Wardrobe Makeover

No matter how many bags we already have around us, new bag launches get me excited for sure! Does the same happen with you? 🙂 Are you also eager to know what new bags you’ll get to see with each new collection?

I’ve rounded up on 8 new juicy collections that you can sink your teeth into! These will cater to your needs from day to night and everywhere in between, and will suit all budget ranges. Read on to find out!

1. For New Bags - Work and Casual

Titan - IRTH

Titan Irth Bags

Titan already has the Fastrack label of bags but that is targeted more towards Gen Z – the college goers per se. Irth (apparently pronounced ‘Arth’) is focussed on women’s bags including work bags. They have their dedicated website which is irth.in and also retail at Shopper’s Stop currently, with plans to expand to more retailers and e-commerce platforms soon.

I was pleasantly surprised at their collection. They have trendy yet functional new bags. They are not exactly low cost bags with prices upwards of INR 2,000. But coming from the House of the Tatas, I know I can trust the quality to be top notch.

2. For New Bags from Fruit Pulp!

Sarjaa

Chennai based design and fashion enthusiast Anjana Arjun helms this eco-friendly brand which makes bags from fruit pulp. The fruit pulp material is still in its nascent stages in India; hence it’s great to see Sarjaa making strides in this space. Kudos to Anjana for bringing her skill and expertise towards such greener alternatives!

The styles are minimal at the moment, which I presume will expand soon in the coming months. But the price range is high end, with starting prices of INR 25,000!

3. For Colourful Backpacks & Trolleys

Uppercase

First off, I love the name! It alludes to something chic, coveted and above the ordinary.

Secondly, I couldn’t take my eyes off the Uppercase backpacks, when I was on the lookout for a backpack myself. The colours are refreshingly peppy. The design is sturdy and caters to the nitty-gritty requirements of everyday life and travel.

They do have trolley bags too. Also, given their propensity towards travel bags, I would eagerly expect to see some well designed waist pouches soon!

They have a keen eye on the sustainability aspect in every bag they produce. See the above screengrab from their website – pretty cool and impressive, ain’t it?!

4. For New Aquatic Themed Bags

Tiger Marron X Nitya Arora

Tiger Marron Tiger Fish

Known for their luxury leather bags, Tiger Marron collaborated with jewelry designer Nitya Arora earlier this year to create an aquatic inspired new collection called Tiger Fish. The bags are apt for casual wear and come in bright, bold pops of colour.

The waist bags are shaped as varied types of sea shells in vibrant hues such as turquoise, yellow and pink. These also come with a shorter belt that enables them to be carried as a wristlet. This would resonate with a lot of millenials looking for some quirky options, though they are not exactly affordable at INR 14,000.

5. For New Vegan Leather Bags

Eume Dragonfly

Eume Dragonfly Bag

Initially into ergonomic backpacks, Eume has recently launched their new bag collection, called the Dragonfly. These are stylish women’s bags with form and function beautifully amalgamated together.

The bags are made entirely of vegan leather. The bag styles are modern – I saw some interesting designs like the cylindrical bag and the bucket bag. Some of the styles can be considered for work, as the colours are muted. Price is on the higher side – averaging around INR 5,000.

6. For Fun Bags with Pop Art

VdesiIndia

Go bold or go home! A totally happening new collection from this new brand VdesiIndia that I spotted on Myntra. Got me hooked on to their designs from the very first bag!

Think patches, graffiti, charms and all sorts of funky adornments. Perfect accessory for fun evenings or brunches, or for when you are in a statement making mood! Reasonably affordable with sub-INR 2,000 prices!

7. For Compact Wallets

Vaya Wallets

Vaya Compact Wallets

I have always appreciated Vaya‘s sleek and elegant lunch boxes. Hence, I was pleasantly surprised to see their new launch – compact wallets. There is a version of the wallet with an RFID blocking feature as well. It is handy to hold just the essentials – comes with 3 card clots, a zippered pocket and a buttoned one, along with a key ring. There is one other colour it is available in – burgundy. Easy on the pocket too!

Again, I expect to see some more diversification in this space soon!

8. For Trendy, Ecofriendly New Satchels

Ecoright Bags

The name says it all – Ecoright makes bags with sustainable materials in ethically certified facilities. Their new collection The Satchel stays true to this brand ethos – these new bags are made with 100% cotton fabric and the inner lining is made with recycled PET bottles. Each bag uses up 8 such bottles! These satchels are structured and organized within, with a strap for a bottle too. Now that’s what I call an all-rounder!

Hope that gave you a well-rounded scoop of all the latest new launches this year! Tell me which are your favourite ones from the above! Or are there other options you are eyeing? Do share in the comments below!

As for me, I feel most excited for the Titan Irth collection. The Vaya wallets are a necessity for when the bag I am carrying is compact, which means the wallet also needs to shrink in size! Will cover them in a detailed review once I get them.
