Hidesign Travel Bags Series II – Kingsley 03

Hidesign Kingsley 03 Front View

Continuing with our series of Hidesign travel bags, today we bring to you the supremely stylish holdallKingsley 03. It is thoughtfully made for the man of class. I almost wanted to take off on a vacation with my husband just for the sake of flaunting this bag! Oh well – talking about vacations on a Monday is very ironic!

As I approached the Kingsley 03 in the showroom, the most enticing aspect apart from the structure was the heady aroma of leather (sorry if some of you are repulsed by it) – every Hidesign bag has this characteristic, but this duffle is larger and hence the whiff is that much more. Storage-wise it is everything a duffle should be, with a large central section, zipped pockets – a smaller one within the central compartment, a long pocket at the back and a long pouch in the front with a flap opening that also has a lock to it. It also has a long cross-body strap. The top handles are of flat leather. A dust bag is also included. The one I checked out in the store was a light brown color, but the Kingsley also comes in a dark brown version.

It might interest you to know that Fabian Lintott is the designer behind this sophisticated hold-all. Fabian is a long-timer at Hidesign, having started in 2006 and has given a face-lift to the men’s accessories range as its lead men’s designer. To make it more interesting, Akshay Kumar carried the Kingsley in the May ’12 issue of Hi-Blitz magazine. He does complete justice to this bag carrying it in his inimitable style!

The Kingsley 03 costs INR 10,695 – think of it as your investment in quality and class. A big thumbs-up from BagsLounge!

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
