Baggit’s Valentines Day Collection Has Good Picks

Baggit Orange Bucket Bag

The collection is small and sweet. From what I have seen so far on their website, there are just 3 bag styles – a bucket bag, a shoulder bag and a wallet. The former two are available in two colors each. In past I have found Baggit to use dull colors but these days it’s like they have particularly paid attention to this point. The colors are bright and peppy and more importantly, new. Not the regular ones usually seen on Baggit.

Internationally, the bucket bag has been quite coveted especially the minimalist ones by Mansur Gavriel. In India this is the first time I have seen bucket bags in true sense of the style. And Baggit has done complete justice to it – the bag can be used either as a shoulder bag or a cross-body bag, the drawstring is golden in color and has tasseled ends and I am completely smitten by the body colors of smoke and orange that are qutie festive looking. The bucket bag is in fact my favorite from the collection. And, at a price point of INR 2175, this is one of the best gifts for the lady who knows her style.

Interestingly, the most common color usually associated with this day, true blue red, is completely absent. The closest we have is, what they have termed ‘SandwichToast Red’ that is more of a brick red, with maroon undertones. I am glad it is that way, that they have broken away from the stereotypes and introduced fresh colors instead. This is the shoulder bag that is in different colors on the front and back. Again, a very budget friendly bag at INR 1900.

The wallet is in an endearing lavender. There is also a strap that enables it to be carried across the body. Priced at INR 1150. The bags are for casual wear in general; well, one would expect Valentine’s Day collection to be casual and not formal! But the shoulder bag would fit in office wear as well.

Overall, a big thumbs up to the entire collection and I’m looking forward to pick one from this myself.
