In spite of all the comfort given by western outfits, being Indian, it is impossible to not think ethnic once in a while. I actually yearn for occasions when I could exhume my Indian finery buried deep in my closet. It would take enormous courage to wear them in the sultry Mumbai heat though. But it helps that the saree is a lightweight georgette. It’s the clutch, however, in peppy yellow and pink in the shape of an apple, that steals the show. In fact, every element of this look is very dear to me as they add in their own unique way. The earrings if you notice, are in the style of ear cuffs that are trending off late. But instead of giving a hard-rock-chic look, they are totally feminine. And they adorn the entire ear. Such style of earrings feature at the top in my lust list. Have a look here:
The waist-chain adds a whole new dimension to the saree. There are scores of different styles in the market, so you really need to hunt one down with patience. I have added a simple bracelet but skipped any neck piece altogether as the earrings are quite statement-making in themselves. The footwear is from this new online store I discovered just a couple of days back – streetstylestore.com. I have not yet ordered anything from them yet and need to ascertain the quality of their goods. But from what I saw, they have a pretty huge collection of footwear and bags. Hope you do find some inspiration from this look!

Style Tips: To keep it simple, a forest green eyeliner and a pink lipstick would be all you need on the makeup front. Perhaps a hint of blush if you prefer. And a bindi to finish it off. Tie the hair in one of the myriad braiding styles to keep the ears and their adornments in unhindered display.
