Alberto Ciaschini Collection from Hidesign

Hidesign is known for its austere design and defined structure bags. In contrast, is the line from its design lead Alberto Ciaschini whose designs are flamboyant and seem to take inspiration from nature. But hold on, Hidesign and Alberto are not alone in this venture – the crystals from Swaroski add yet another element of luxury to this line. The end result as one can imagine, is nothing short of being splendid. This collection was introduced in 2012 among much fanfare. Every luxury line strives to preserve its exclusivity – for Alberto Ciaschini, apparently, only 60 pieces are made of each design. Presenting below some of the pieces I found interesting and unique.

When a bag with design from Alberto, craftsmanship by Hidesign and crystal embellishments by Swarovski is put together, it looks as beautiful as this Vine evening bag:

This was also carried by Kalki during the launch:

The next one reminds you of the scales on a fish and is named the Mermaid. The top opening resembles a drawstring and the handles have a beautiful braided pattern. These handles seem to be easier on the shoulder than rolled leather handles that usually tend to be hard.

The blossom collection has really pretty leather patterns depicting flowers and embedded with crystals. A clutch and a shoulder bag; if you are lucky, you could find them in a couple of colors.

Another bag inspired by flowers, this one has a petal pattern all over the body and the handle breaks into a bunch of petals at one end.

The designs are superbly thought out and executed. All bags are upward of INR 10,000 and can be bought at the Hidesign online store.

Vidya Gupta

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
