A-Bag-a-Day #7 Baggit Report Dora Blue

Baggit Report Dora Blue

Work bags are an important category for ladies; ones that can be carried to any formal occasion. I’m careful to not use ‘office going’ as women these days are doing great work without having to step inside an ‘office’, in the traditional sense of the word. The lady in command needs to stay organized and exude confidence. Her bag, on the other hand, must not be too loud and must fit in all the work essentials. In a formal setting, her bag is undoubtedly seen as an extension of her personality; in others, she can at least experiment fearlessly. Hence, it’s a delicate balance to be met where work bags are concerned.

Baggit has a good selection of such bags. In fact, they are always adding to their collection and I invariably see something new each time I step in store. I bring to you 6 highly utilitarian and solemn work bags. First up, is the Report Dora Blue, whose most striking feature is its color in cobalt blue.

Vital Statistics

  • Size: 35cm X 25cm X 12cm
  • Shape: Roughly Rectangular
  • Color: Cobalt Blue
  • Number of Pockets: 10 (including the mobile pouch)
  • Strap Length: 22cm (the drop of the bag from the shoulder)
  • Slot for Tablet/Netbook: Yes
  • Price: INR 3,250

Highlights

  • The color is a rich, saturated cobalt blue.
  • Straps are flat (as opposed to rounded ones) which gives them a better grip on the shoulder.
  • The 10-pockets in differing sizes give one ample space to stay well organized.
  • Size is just about right; neither too bulky nor too small.
  • The buttoned pockets on the front and the zippered pocket at the bag are deep and go on till the base of the bag.

Lowlights

  • Baggit might consider expanding the mobile pouch a bit, at least in satchels and shoulder bags; phones now-a-days have bigger screens. I have a One Plus and it does not fit in the slot provided.
  • Slightly expensive given that leather bags of comparable size are available at this price point.

About the author

Vidya Gupta

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
