There’s an exciting competition on at Vogue – the ‘It Bag’ Hall of Fame for 2015. 10 bags from the globe’s top brands are vying for the coveted title. Unless I am ill informed, Vogue debuted the Hall of Fame awards only a couple of years ago (someone please correct me if I am wrong). But of course, it is a fun contest whose results will throw light on the world’s favorite bags from the list for this year. There is also a proper campaign for each bag that explains clearly why that bag deserves to be the It Bag of the year. Much cliched as it may sound, for me, each of these is already a winner; making it to this list is in itself no mean achievement. And you’d surely agree with me once you take a look at these beauties.
The voting is open for another 4 days. Head straight over to Vogue to cast your vote and be a part of history as the darling of the years’ bags emerges! I have chosen mine and it is the Loewe Puzzle Bag. While the criteria for the It Bag is exclusivity and not functionality, I can’t bring myself to imagine coughing up catastrophic amounts just for style and no substance. The Proenza Schouler U Bag and Louis Vuitton Besace Ronde were close seconds. The Puzzle Bag looks spacious enough, is chic and with its name adding an element of intrigue, I have found my favorite.
