Roger Vivier Prismick Collection Bags

Ok – I think bags with the ‘prism’ are the ‘It’ accessories of the season. First, we had Isse Miyake Prism series bags that had a mirror like finish on the exterior. Then we saw Victoria Beckham’s Prism pattern bags from the SS ’14 collection. And I recently spotted the Roger Vivier house patronizing the prism. But actually the Prismick collection was launched last year. For AW ’13, a few pertinent colors have been introduced along with a Mini Prismick. Let’s check out…

If you’ve visited the Roger Vivier official website, you’d see how the information is presented in a collage format. The Prismick takes its inspiration from that. These bags come in a variety of textures – I have seen soft lamb leather and iridescent finishes. They are accompanied by a colourful palette making them really desirable!

I thought the above bag in blue is nothing short of stunning! They have a chain handle and a soft leather section where the chain meets the shoulder, to prevent discomfort due to the metal chain. Now what sets this collection apart from the rest of the RV bags is that they do not feature the iconic RV buckle, an example of which is:

Coming to my favourite from this collection – it is the 3D shoulder bag which has been introduced this fall. The clever design indeed gives a good 3D illusion. It is available in a couple of colors. I could not find its price but my guess pegs it at upwards of USD 2,000.
