The Coco Clutch is a recent addition to the Rebecca Minkoff bag collection. Of course, once a style is launched and finds success, it is re-introduced in various other textures and colors. The Coco Clutch has a similar story. While we view the basic shape a little later, I present below the variation that interested me, for the metallic, hologram-effect it produces. The official site, though, calls it the Broken Glass Print. Make no mistake; the actual material is genuine leather. It’s interesting how they achieve this pattern and look on leather. This is a Fall 2013 addition and part of a larger holographic accessories group that includes cuffs and studs.

There is nothing ground breaking about the essential elements – flip lock closure on the front flap, dull gold hardware to let the texture do all the talking, inner zipped pocket, card slots, and two other compartments with magnetic snap closures – yet it has a simple design and is highly functional. The multiple sections definitely get thumbs up. This clutch retails for USD 425 and one can buy it directly from their site. Now a look at the other colors the Coco Clutch is available in:

Studs are quite ‘in’ these days. I feel they somehow rob the lady-like charm from a bag.
