Lavie has a new website with a fresh, inviting look. And it has a breathtaking and massive line up for Spring Summer ’16! Honestly, it was a task to tear myself away from the beauties and focus on writing this post! The designs are refreshing and entirely new – no retakes on existing designs. Similar to the AW’15 bags that were grouped into themes, the current collection too has four predominant themes running through it:
- Soft Pop: true to its name, the bags here are drenched in soft pastel hues and subtle patterns
- Graceful: with ample doses of lace and cutwork, these bags exude the vintage-meets-modern charm
- Monumental: time to go bold with pattern-blocking that finds its roots in modern-day architecture
- Free Former: break free from all inhibitions and embrace these statement-making bags in bright colors and dynamic prints
Pricing is in line with what we have come to expect of Lavie – from INR 1,800 to INR 4,500. But this time around I think they are rightfully justified as the bags are head and shoulders above their SS’16 peers I have seen so far. The intelligent permutation of prints, colors, embellishments and textures results in a stunning mix of bags. For once, I’m unable to put my finger on just one bag – I have my favorites from each of the above categories. Apart from the seemingly never-ending bags below, they have another truck load of gorgeous backpacks and wallets. The price for each bag is mentioned below it.
The SS’16 collection is to hit stores sometime in mid-February. I could not yet find them in their online store as well. So take your time to pour over them because it’s going to take long to zero-in on one (if you are planning to purchase more, the task would be slightly easier!) from such a vibrant, summery line-up!
