Florian is a luxury bag maker based out of London, UK. What caught my eye, as I read the news of Florian being on Kickstarter for crowd sourced funds, was its tagline – ‘Where Design Meets Practicality’. The firm has a special focus on helping the modern woman stay organized, by designing bags with dedicated compartments for everyday essentials – such as laptop, tablet, phone, stationery, keys etc. They have already had a successful run of their debut collection last year. They are seeking funds for their second season. This doesn’t seem too difficult to achieve, given their efforts to bring practicality and fashion on the same platform.
Now, I get drawn to functionally relevant bags, like iron to magnet. It was eye candy to watch a few samples of their bags, which I reproduce below:
Florian proudly explains that the metal clasp you see on some of their bags, is inspired by old English Castle gates ensuring superior security. In fact, the clasp is named Florian London Gate Catch.
