The German luxury fashion group enters its 35th year in 2013. To mark this grand occasion, Escada has unveiled this luxurious bag, that is called Escada 1978 – referring to the year of its founding. Two types of leather are used – embossed calfskin in the middle and suede leather on the sides. To briefly describe – suede leather is made from the inner side of the animal skin rendering it soft and less durable. Calfskin, as the name suggests, is made from calf that is a few months old. Owing to the tender age, the leather obtained is soft and non-fine grain (referring to no imperfections, though less durable than full-grain leather). A look at the signature bag:
