There are portals and then there are some more. But when Reliance Industries launches one, using the brand name of its soon-to-be-launched telecom business, the entire fashion conscious population sits up and is all eyes. Ajio, the e-commerce fashion portal, debuted during the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week, led from the front by Isha Ambani.
Now, no matter how crowded the e-commerce world is, I become excited at any new launch just the same! And Reliance Trends being one of my favorite places to shop for affordable and trendy clothing, I had a fair idea of what to expect from Ajio. The verdict is that it surpassed my expectations! They have just launched and they already have a sizeable variety in their products. They are in step with the latest trends, their goods mostly affordable. It has the best retailers lined up not only from within India but from shores as far as the US and Australia. Given that the Indian e-commerce industry holds much promise, one can expect Ajio to scale up exponentially in terms of the brands onboarded and stocking products from end to end of the fashion spectrum.
So, coming to the bags, they have a stunningly diverse range from structured office bags to casual shopper bags, faux leather to canvas and silk, all with budget-friendly price tags. Apart from their own products, Ajio is also a place for other multi-brand bags. What follows is a glimpse into their vast collection:
INR 1,799
INR 1,499
INR 1,799
INR 1,999
INR 999
